Rebecca Linda sang our National Anthem to open the program at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial State Park at Angel Fire, New Mexico during Memorial Day Weekend 2014, and later performed "The Wall" during the Saturday night banquet and festivities. As a side note, Rebecca Linda was born at Fort Hood, Texas.

This ceremony was held at Veterans Park in Las Cruces, New Mexico on Saturday, March 30, 2013 during the 3rd annual Welcome Home for Vietnam Veterans. "The Wall" tribute song was co-written by the artist with her songwriter husband, Dr. Robert Frank Smith. Both Rebecca Linda and Robert Frank lost someone near and dear to them whose names are written on The Wall at the Vietnam Wall Memorial in Washington, D.C. which has more than 58,000 names of lives that were lost etched in The Wall from first to the last with names still being added.

Rebecca Linda Smith and Dr. Robert Frank Smith with Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) National President, John Rowan, at the VVA Awards Banquet on August 11 during the VVA National Leadership Conference held in Irving (Dallas), Texas on August 8-11. Rebecca Linda was featured singer for the Associates of the Vietnam Veterans of America (AVVA) at their Awards Luncheon held on August 9 and performed three original Patriotic songs penned with her songwriter husband, Dr. Robert Frank Smith. Both Rebecca Linda and Robert Frank are Life Members of the VVA having served in the U.S. Army as Vietnam (era) Veterans. The three tribute songs performed by Rebecca Linda included "American Heroes", "Lady Warrior", and "The Wall" which has been submitted for consideration of performing at The Wall memorial in Washington, D.C. when all 58,000 plus names of those killed in the Vietnam War will be read during the upcoming Veterans Day weekend. Rebecca Linda received a standing ovation from the audience including the AVVA and VVA National Presidents after performing "The Wall." Rebecca Linda also received the Coin of Excellence from the AVVA National President, Nancy Switzer, for the work that she and Robert Frank are doing for our military and veterans, especially the Vietnam Veterans and women veterans, who are both so often 'forgotten heroes.'

The power of the Lord is abundant in the sounds of gospel. Those blessed
with the gift of beautiful singing and a connection to God are among the finest
story tellers in music today, and Rebecca Linda Smith is no exception.
Her latest album, "Jesus' Grace" is a powerful collection of soulful
