Rebecca Linda was a huge favorite with the crowd and was invited back to next year's annual Cowboy Symposium to perform at Gospel and Country events by Larry Scott, the Entertainment Director. Rebecca Linda, a former Army officer, debuted her
"Lady Warrior" song last year. This special
tribute song (written by her and her songwriter husband,
Dr. Robert Frank Smith, also a former military officer)
is a tribute to all women in the military, past, present,

Country/Western radio "dance" program on
Sunday, March 20. This particular show featured an
interview with Robert Frank and Rebecca Linda, how they
met, how they both served as officers in the U.S. Army,
and how they both write and co-write Inspirational
Country songs, most of which are recorded and released by
Rebecca Linda. Randy, the interview host, noted that
Robert Frank and Rebecca Linda are the only
"guests" appearing on the show who have done
both, i.e., both served as officers in the military and
both write songs. Randy is also a former U.S. Army
Officer and Vietnam Veteran and avid dance music
enthusiast. He played four of Rebecca Linda's peppy
"danceable" songs during the program which
included "Victory Song" (written by Karen Kay
on Jesus' Grace CD), "Walk On Faith" (current
release written by Mike Reid from True Love album),
"Blame Game" (from Rebecca Linda's upcoming
Hope CD), and "Texas And Tennessee" (from her
classic Timeless album), the last two songs written by

wrote this song as a special tribute to all women in the
military, past, present, and future, and they presented
this song to Shoshana, first American Black female
Prisoner of War (POW) during the 2003 war in Iraq
("Iraq War"). Shoshana was present for a
special book signing with Barnes and Noble
representatives with her brand new book, I'm
Still Standing, detailing her experiences
as a POW. Renewed Records also presented the single
to two female members of Chapter 574 and three female
"wounded warriors" in attendance from Fort
Bliss, TX where they were presented special "Welcome
Home" recognition from Chapter 574. Brett Hill is a *Music Evangelist* and *Major Songwriter who wrote all of the songs on both of his albums. The Road To Recovery Texas Challenge came to Texas, started at B.A.M.C. in San Antonio and ended their Challenge at the Ball Park in Arlington, Texas where they got to throw out the First Pitch 4-4-09!. There were some 60 Wounded Warrior bicyclists participating in the 5 day ride. During a stop in Cleburne, Texas, President Bush made a visit! President Bush then spoke to some of the American Legion Riders who provided Motorcycle escorts to these brave bicyclists. Here she is performing her sad and melancholy but uplifting Patriotic song, "Never Be Apart Anymore," written by her and her husband, Robert Frank Smith, and found on her American Heroes album. This song was inspired when God gave Robert Frank most of the words one night as he awoke singing the actual chorus. The next day, Robert Frank and Rebecca Linda sat down and penned the verses to the song.

Renewed Records was privileged to accompany Brett during his dynamite performance and ministry at Calvary Temple of El Paso during this brief visit. Brett even baptized one of the attendees in a pool across the street following his annointed ministry and performance of many songs he wrote from his newest album, THE TRUTH OF IT ALL. While here, Brett, Robert Frank, and Rebecca Linda also visited the historic Rosa's Cantina of Marty Robbins fame.

occasion as a "Photo Op" with her husband and
son to show the continuity of military service started by
her father, Rufino Garcia, who retired from the Army
after 21 years of service and her husband with a like
number of years in the Army. Rebecca Linda also served
for three years in the Army as an officer and another
three years in the Army Reserve where she met Robert
Frank, now a retired Lieutenant Colonel and major
songwriter and manager for Renewed Records. Rebecca
Linda's two brothers served in the Army and Marines,
respectively, and her sister in the Air Force. Now, their
son continues the family's long tradition of Patriotic
